On completion of the course, the GNM, ANM is able to :-
Is a skillful on providing quality nursing care based on problem solving approach
Is seeking opportunities for continual growth and self-evolution as a person citizen and a professional.
Identify health problem/needs and resources in the community and mobilize social support for participation of the community in health care activities.
Appreciate the concept of holistic health and understand the influence of socioeconomic and environmental factors on the health status of the community.
Provide treatment of minor ailments.
Provide skilled care to all neonates in community and refer neonates at risk to the appropriates levels.
Provide preventive, primitive, restorative and emergency health care to individuals and community as required.
Render skilled child care services at home, clinic and school.
Act as a team member in the health care delivery system.
Guide/train birth attendants, anganwadi workers (AWW) s, other community health activist and volunteers.
Co-ordinate and collaborate with the other health team members and community based organization, non government organization (NGO) and village administration.
Updates knowledge and skill professional and personal growth.
Manage the health center including equipments and supplies and maintain the records in order to provide quality based people family services.
Participate in all the national health and family welfare programmes at community level.
Provide need based information and counseling related to health of individual family and groups.
